John started playing music when he was 13, after
hearing 'Mommy's Little Monster' by Social Distortion. His first
band was called 'Family Crisis". He moved to LA in 1988 to try to
become a rock star. He then formed a band called 'Electric Love Hogs'
with his guitar player from FC. He was signed to
Polygram in 1990 and dropped in 1992.
John formed Goldfinger in 1993. They were
signed to Mojo/Universal in 1995 and have been on the road ever since. He now
has a production gig at Maverick and has signed and produced two bands,
Showoff and Mest. Goldfinger will be touring off thier latest release,
"Stomping Ground" until March of 2001. John is also a vegan and a animal rights
activist.
